About the book . . .

Blake Caster has been in an emotionally abusive relationship with Justin for so long, she can’t tell what is normal anymore, and so she clings to the one thing that is solidly hers—her passion for extreme weather.

Three years into her Meteorology degree, Blake meets professional storm chaser, Dash Lexington, who is as gorgeous as he is daring. Instantly recognizing her passion and skills in analyzing weather data, he makes a spot for her on his tight-knit storm chasing team. Dash and Blake form a fast friendship and it forces her to realize just how toxic her relationship with Justin is. She can’t deny the lightning-worthy chemistry she has with Dash or how her heart stalls every time he gets too close to a tornado.

With each chase and the cherished moments with Dash, Blake discovers her own self-worth and gains the strength to end things with Justin for good. But he won’t go easily. As Blake tries to sever ties with one man, she fears she’ll lose the other to his dangerous obsession—and she doesn’t know if she’ll be enough to save him from the impending storm that could end them all.

Brenda’s Review …

I was lucky enough to get to read an ARC of EDGE OF CHAOS. This story was such a great read. I saw a lot of myself in Blake. I’d experienced a similar abusive relationship and Lee really captured the emotions perfectly. As a reader you’ll want to shake Blake and tell her to leave her abusive boyfriend, Justin, already, but then you learn how deep their relationship is, how long they’ve been together, and how connected they are. Justin was there for her during hard family times when she was a teen and she was there for him. They grew to need each other and slowly things took a turn for the worse. She has a sense of security with him and no matter what he does, it’s hard for her to let go. We get to see her evolve from being timid to taking charge.

The storm chasing scenes blew me away (pun intended)! They were wonderfully written and had me frantically reading through the pages. I loved how Lee weaved the storms into the story and how they reflected what was going on in Blake’s life and that she chases storms as an escape from the category 4 happening at home.

And can I just say, DASH! Not only is he swoon*worthy, he’s so sweet and patient with Blake. He genuinely cares for her and is the complete opposite of Justin. Dash and Blake’s relationship is adorable and hot. I loved them together. And the secondary characters were all amazing, especially the humor with John and Paul. And I fell hard for Blake’s dog, Hail! Lee wrote him so well. Make sure to chase after this amazing book. You’ll be glad you did!
