Jennifer Hawkins
Jennifer is a South Carolinian living in Texas. She’s a wife, mother and part-time combat medic to two rowdy boys and a Great Dane. When she isn’t reading or writing stories sprinkled with magic, you can find her sipping sweet tea and daydreaming about football season.
Jennifer is a nurse by credentials, but a writer by passion. She’s represented by the fabulous Louise Fury of The Bent Agency. Her short story, Preach What You Practice, received an honorable mention in the 2014 Writers Weekly short story competition, and is published in the Decameron Journal by Pen & Anvil Press. Her first Young Adult novel, FALSE START, was chosen by mentor Kes Trester for the 2014 edition of Pitch Wars. Jennifer is currently pursuing a degree in Creative Writing at UHV and writing her second YA novel. She is a member of SCBWI, RWA, and The Writers’ League of Texas.
STARTING BID: $10
TURNAROUND TIME allow two weeks for query critiques + 1st chapters, four weeks for partials, and six weeks for full critiques. Donors will discuss turnaround times with winners. All winning bids are guaranteed. Should some unforeseen event happen, money will be returned to winner or the winner may choose to have Brenda Drake provide the critique.
