The 2019 Spring YA Scavenger Hunt!

Welcome to the 2019 Spring YA Scavenger Hunt!

Hello! I’m Brenda Drake, your host for this leg of the hunt.

About Me

I can’t live without . . . coffee. I love all flavors and usually drink several cups a day.

I can live without . . . fish. The dead kind. Yuck. But I will eat lobster and crab legs with lots of butter.

I’m usually hanging out . . . writing at my computer or at a place that serves coffee and doesn’t mind if I take up residency for hours.

Looking for my exclusive bonus content? You’ll have to keep searching. Also, don’t forget to enter my extra giveaway at the bottom of this post.

Somewhere on this blog hop, I’ve hidden a playlist for ANALIESE RISING. Before you go looking for it, check out the amazing author I’m hosting.

But, first, a few rules.

This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors…and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize–one lucky winner will receive one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online until April 7 at noon PST!

Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are FIVE contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am a part of the GOLD TEAM–but there is also a red team, a purple team, a green team, and a blue team for a chance to win a whole different set of books! If you’d like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page.

Entry Form: Once you’ve added up all the numbers, make sure you fill out the form here to officially qualify for the grand prize. Only entries that have the correct number will qualify.

Rules: Open internationally, anyone below the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian’s permission to enter. To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by Sunday, April 7th at noon Pacific time. Entries sent without the correct number or without contact information will not be considered.

Now that all the technical stuff is out of the way, I’ll introduce the author I am hosting on this hunt.

Today, I’m excited to be hosting Olivia Wildenstein, on my website for the YA Scavenger Hunt! The book Olivia is showcasing in the hunt is A PACK OF BLOOD AND LIES.

Here’s a little something about Olivia and her amazing novel …

Bio:

USA TODAY bestselling author Olivia Wildenstein grew up in New York City, the daughter of a French father with a great sense of humor, and a Swedish mother whom she speaks to at least three times a day. She chose Brown University to complete her undergraduate studies and earned a bachelor’s in comparative literature. After designing jewelry for a few years, Wildenstein traded in her tools for a laptop computer and a very comfortable chair. This line of work made more sense, considering her college degree.

Book Blurb:

The primal rule of winning: don’t fall in love with the contender.

Three months shy of her eighteenth birthday, Ness is forced to return to Colorado. Even though it’s been six years, and the wolves of her all-male pack don’t recognize her, she recognizes them. People who shun others because of their gender are hard to forget.

Today Olivia is sharing a teaser from A PACK OF BLOOD AND LIES and a character cards.

A PACK OF BLOOD AND LIES teaser:

I blinked. “You want to kiss me?” If I’d heard him wrong, and he’d said kill me, then…well, that would be so many shades of embarrassing.

“Yes, Ness Clark. I’d like to kiss you.”

It struck me then that Liam didn’t think I murdered his father. I closed my eyes. “Don’t, Liam. Don’t like me. I’m no good. For you…I’m no good.”

My eyelashes dampened. No, no, no…I couldn’t cry. Not in front of Liam. Oh, God, I was such a mess.

“Why shouldn’t I like you?”

“Because…you shouldn’t.” The tears snaked out.

Perfidious tears.

I felt his thumbs swipe over my cheeks, felt his fingers close around the sides of my face, tilt it back toward his.

“You’re going to have to give me a better reason.”

I looked at him then, and my heart beat so wildly it almost tripped right out of my chest. A better reason was the truth.

Isn’t that great! Thank you Olivia for sharing your teaser with us!

Thank you so much for visiting my website! For the hunt, my number is Image result for 22 graphic. While you’re here don’t forget to enter the rafflecopter bonus contest I am running exclusively during the YA Scavenger Hunt. I’ll select three (3) winners to receive any one of my books.
