The submission window for Pitch Wars 2018 is now open! You have until it closes on Wednesday, August 29 at 10:00PM Eastern Time to submit your entry form. This mentorship program is open to Middle Grade, Young Adult, New Adult, and Adult completed, never before published, works of fiction.
Are you ready to enter? You can either click the “Submit” tab in the menu above or just click here:
Since I know you’ll be too excited to enter your submission to reach the bottom of this post, I’ll put this here. The Pitch Wars team wishes you good luck! If you have any issues, please email us at pitchwars@gmail.com. You can also contact us on twitter @pitchwars or anonymously via our Curious Cat. And join our community on Twitter at #PitchWars or on our forum.
In the weeks between when submissions close and mentees are announced on October 12, mentors will read through their submissions. They may request additional materials and ask follow-up questions via private email to help them make their decision. The mentors’ picks will be announced October 12 on the Pitch Wars blog. Everyone, chosen or not, will find out at that time by checking the posted list of selected mentees.
If you don’t know what Pitch Wars is or if you need submission information or the link to the bloghop where our mentors listed their wishlists on their sites, you can find it on the following links.

Two of the adult mentors I want to pitch to are not on the drop down list, although they have posted their wish lists. Carolyn Topdjian, and Natasha Raulerson.

I just checked and they’re definitely both there in alphabetical order. Are you sure you’re not on the New Adult form?

My manuscript could be considered both YA and NA. Am I allowed to submit the same manuscript to both categories?
Sarah Nicolas · August 27, 2018 at 8:29 pm
No. You have to choose one category.

Hi! What is the window for Mentors to ask for manuscripts? Should I be checking my email over Labor Day weekend? Thanks for fielding questions!
Kellye Garrett · August 30, 2018 at 10:55 pm
There’s no set window for mentors to ask for manuscripts because they all read and request on their own schedules. Some will be requesting right up until the time mentees are announced in October.

I made my submission last night.
But I am yet to receive a confirmation.
If I don’t get a confirmation by the time the window closes will my submission still be valid?
Or should I resubmit?

Hi,
It’s been 2 days and i haven’t received mail confirmation that my manuscript was received.
I’m a little worried because it said I will receive a confirmation in about 12 hours.
What should I do?
Thank you
