I’m addicted to Gold Fish crackers.
My favorite color is red. But I must say that since seeing the THIEF OF LIES book cover, purple is changing my mind.
I have two cats and a ferret.
I have a legit obsession for Tobias James!

Somewhere on this blog hop, I’ve hidden a playlist for GUARDIAN OF SECRETS (Library Jumpers Book 2). Before you go looking for it, check out the amazing author I’m hosting.
But, first, a few rules.
This bi-annual event was first organized by author Colleen Houck as a way to give readers a chance to gain access to exclusive bonus material from their favorite authors…and a chance to win some awesome prizes! At this hunt, you not only get access to exclusive content from each author, you also get a clue for the hunt. Add up the clues, and you can enter for our prize–one lucky winner will receive one book from each author on the hunt in my team! But play fast: this contest (and all the exclusive bonus material) will only be online until October 8 at noon PST!
Go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page to find out all about the hunt. There are NINE contests going on simultaneously, and you can enter one or all! I am a part of the PURPLE TEAM–but there is also a red team, an orange team, a blue team, a green team, a pink team, and a gold team for a chance to win a whole different set of books! If you’d like to find out more about the hunt, see links to all the authors participating, and see the full list of prizes up for grabs, go to the YA Scavenger Hunt page.
SCAVENGER HUNT PUZZLE

To be eligible for the grand prize, you must submit the completed entry form by Sunday, October 8th at noon Pacific time. Now that all the technical stuff is out of the way, I’ll introduce the author I am hosting on this hunt.
Today, I’m crazy excited to be hosting Alexandra Sirowy on my website for the YA Scavenger Hunt! The book Alexandra is showcasing in the YA Scavenger Hunt this season is . Here’s a little something about this amazing novel …
AMAZON | BARNES & NOBLE | INDIEBOUND
Izzie loves nothing more than her three best friends, Viv, Graham, and Harry, and the bond the four of them share. And she’s terrified of their friendship falling apart next year when they go off to college. To bind them together, she decides to create something that will belong only to them, a special thing that they’ll always share between the four of them. And so they dream up the Order of IV, a secret society devoted to mischief that rights wrongs and pays back debts. At first, it works like a charm—but when the Order of IV’s escapades get recognition beyond their wildest expectations, other people start wanting in. And soon, what started as a game of friendship is spiraling into something dangerous and beyond their control—and before it’s over, they’ll pay the ultimate sacrifice.
Sounds great, right? There’s 14 and more reasons why I love this premise and that cover!!
And here’s Alexandra to tell you about her exclusive content for FIRST WE WERE IV …
Hi, I’m Alexandra Sirowy author of the new YA thriller FIRST WE WERE IV, available now wherever books are sold. FWWIV is the story of four best friends who invent a secret society and try to use it to get justice in an unsolved murder in their small, coastal town, until justice turns to revenge, secrets unravel, others want in, a rebellion is sparked, and the secret society gets beyond out of control, ultimately costing one of the friends their life.
When FWWIV was just a spark of an idea, I knew this book needed to be about the risks four friends would take for one another. If you’ve already read it, or even just considered the title, you know that FWWIV begins with the end. It starts with a death. The first chapter opens with the arrival of the police, evidence of an accident or murder, and the statement, “First we were four. Now we are three,” the story then jumps back to relate how the four friends’ secret society spirals dangerously out of control, leaving the mystery of what happens to one of them (the who, how, what, why, and when) until the book’s shocking conclusion.
But once upon a time, FWWIV began a different way. It started with the four best friends’ secret society, the Order of IV. In the never-before-shared scene you’re about to read, the four friends walk their recruits through an Order of IV initiation ritual…a bit of foreshadowing of events to come.
I hope you enjoy!

Alternative Beginning FIRST WE WERE IV
“Out back there’s an ancient rock and on it, I committed murder.”
The twelve of us in the circle took turns confessing. Different inflections. Different voices. Viv’s eyelashes brushed her flaming cheeks periodically, slowly, drunkenly; the words like a trance on her. Graham smiled wickedly, embellishing graphic details in a steady whisper the rest of us leaned forward to catch. A few of us giggled as if we were confessing to a drunk, fumbled make-out session. Ohmygod, cannot believe I’m fessing up, a trilled hehehe.
Harry stood across from me, hair flattened on one side of his head where he’d been napping before the others arrived. I kept my eyes on his during my turn. He’d gone first – had to when everyone else’s courage faltered. Harry followed through. Even though he was the only to vote against the whole awful initiation idea. My idea. At least I thought it had been mine at the time. Now, ages later, I’m not so sure.
I said the words, “Out back, there’s an ancient rock and on it I committed murder,” easy and smooth like I’d practiced – I had – but I finished breathless. Not from the confession. No. Because Harry’s eyes never left mine. Brown puddles with swirls of sunlight in them. Whatever. That sounds sappy and too Viv-like for me. It wasn’t love. Not yet.
After the last of the last went, we filed from Viv’s white-washed barn. We shucked our shoes and fleeces and puffy vests.
I was drunk off the pageantry of the whole ridiculous night. My feet didn’t even touch the ground. My soles didn’t feel the rock biting into them. Most of the kids were in their normal clothing. Everyone ready to play.
And it was a game, the sort without winners; a game that would take a life and ruin the rest. A game I’d give anything to go back in time and stop the four of us from playing.
