Welcome to #TheWVoice 2015! To enter, your manuscript must meet two conditions: First, it must be COMPLETE, POLISHED, AND READY TO QUERY, and second, it must be in one of the following genres:
MG fiction (all genres)
YA fiction (all genres)
NA fiction (all genres except erotica)
Adult genre fiction (excluding erotica)
Adult literary fiction (including women’s fiction but excluding erotica)
Adult commercial fiction (including women’s fiction but excluding erotica)
Also, YOU MUST HAVE A BLOG TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST, as the coaches will be building their teams via #TheWVoice Blogfest (which starts tomorrow). You don’t have to have a blog at this moment to enter, but you will need to create one ASAP if you win a spot in the blogfest (which is what today’s Rafflecopter lottery will determine). Also, if you make it in, do not use Tumblr for your entry post–we have to be able to leave comments.
For more information, including a timeline of events and a list of this year’s participating agents, check out this post. Then feel free to enter the Rafflecopter lottery anytime between now and 9:00 p.m. EDT!
Brenda, Kimberly Chase and I will be joining forces as a coaching team and are so excited to read your manuscripts!
We strongly recommend you enter the Rafflecopter lottery with your current e-mail address, NOT your Facebook account. Most people no longer use the e-mail addresses tied to those accounts, so if you use it to sign up, you probably won’t get our notification e-mail if you make it into the blogfest.
Note: There’s only one box to enter both your name and email into, so make sure to enter both in the same box.

There’s only one box to enter name and email address, so I entered my name thinking I’d get another box for email address. My entry was complete, so I wasn’t able to enter my email address. How should we enter name and email address in a single box?
BTW, email: jmgoebel (at) outlook (dot) com
C.H. Armstrong · May 20, 2015 at 9:27 am
I was a little confused, too, but I think it’ll be okay. The first page asks for name and e-mail address in different boxes. Then the next page gives only a single box for name and e-mail address. I’m hoping it went through okay…
JHolmes, author · May 20, 2015 at 9:42 am
Me too. Crossing fingers!
Brenda Drake · May 20, 2015 at 9:51 am
I will add the email for you. It only allows one box for the entry, so everyone else make sure to enter your name and email address together.
JHolmes, author · May 20, 2015 at 10:05 am
Thanks, Brenda!
Brenda Drake · May 20, 2015 at 10:18 am
JHolmes, Can you try and reenter your entry into the Rafflecopter? I’m having trouble with yours.
JHolmes, author · May 20, 2015 at 11:03 am
Okay, I’ll try.
Kristin · May 20, 2015 at 1:20 pm
You type name/email into the box
Sue Coletta · May 20, 2015 at 10:08 am
I’ve got a problem. I entered my name in the Rafflecopter and pressed enter to move down a line to enter my email and it told me I’d entered. But without my email address! What do I do now?
Sue Coletta · May 20, 2015 at 10:10 am
I should have read the comments instead of reading the post in the “reader”. My email is: suecoletta@crimewriterblog.com. If it isn’t too much trouble, can you add mine too? I’m #83.
Brenda Drake · May 20, 2015 at 10:19 am
Sue, you’re all set. Thank you!
Neal Chase · May 20, 2015 at 10:22 am
It looks like I did the opposite of most people. On the first screen I had the option to input my name and email address in two separate lines. Then I was brought to a page that asked for name and email address in one box and I input just my email address (neal@gochasecpa.com). I do not remember my exact entry number but I entered right after it opened so around number 10 or so. If this needs to be corrected, and you can, it would be much appreciated.
Brenda Drake · May 20, 2015 at 10:29 am
I’m more concerned with getting the correct email address and yours looks good. Thank you!
C.H. Armstrong · May 20, 2015 at 10:34 am
Brenda – If it’s not too much trouble, will you “call out” in comments anyone whose e-mail addresses didn’t get entered? I *think* mine went through okay and I’m not overly concerned about it, but it’d be nice to know if it didn’t. Only if it’s not a ton of extra work for you…
Brenda Drake · May 20, 2015 at 10:37 am
C.H. it is a lot of work to go through the list, but I’m happy to check names if anyone feels theirs wasn’t entered correctly.
C.H. Armstrong · May 20, 2015 at 1:04 pm
Ish! Nope – don’t go through them individually, then. Didn’t know if it was an easy or time-consuming thing to do.
BTW – thanks for having this contest. It looks like tons of fun!
Brenda Drake · May 20, 2015 at 10:38 am
Do know if you have the right email entered in the Rafflecopter initially, it will be okay if you didn’t get it right in the box. The box is just for me to check to see if the email address is correct and not an old email.
JHolmes, author · May 20, 2015 at 11:05 am
Thanks, Brenda!
Samantha · May 20, 2015 at 12:50 pm
Wishing everyone luck!
Julie Christensen · May 20, 2015 at 4:35 pm
I entered this morning, but now that I’ve read these comments, I’m not sure mine went through. I didn’t get a confirmation number, although the entry window grayed out when I finished. Brenda, if you aren’t too swamped, would you be able to check that mine went through?
Brenda Drake · May 20, 2015 at 5:09 pm
Julie, yours looks great! Thanks!
Julie Christensen · May 20, 2015 at 5:48 pm
Thank you, Brenda!
C.H. Armstrong · May 20, 2015 at 5:45 pm
I didn’t see a confirmation number either. If you have a chance and it’s not too much trouble, would you mind checking on mine, too, Brenda? I registered under Catherine Armstrong, I think
Brenda Drake · May 20, 2015 at 6:48 pm
I have yours, Catherine.
C.H. Armstrong · May 20, 2015 at 7:59 pm
Thank you so much! Even if I don’t get pulled to play, this is going to be so much fun to watch!
Dmakin · May 20, 2015 at 7:05 pm
Hi Brenda,
I apologize if this is a stupid question. I entered this morning on the rafflecopter but I wasn’t sure if we are supposed to get an email confirmation? Just wanted to check and make sure I didn’t mess up the entry. Thank you so much for the amazing opportunity!
Dev
Brenda Drake · May 20, 2015 at 7:15 pm
You won’t receive an email confirmation. I will email all the winners tonight with special instructions after the Rafflecopter submission ends.
Dmakin · May 20, 2015 at 8:01 pm
Oh thank you! I will be waiting while consuming buckets of tea, pounds of goldfish, and everything crossed with good thoughts! thank you again!!!!
Elle Marr · May 20, 2015 at 7:17 pm
I wanted to make sure I entered correctly and now think I may have entered twice! D’oh! Brenda, can you help please? Sorry!!
Brenda Drake · May 20, 2015 at 7:40 pm
It won’t let you enter twice. Checked and yours is good. 😉
Elle Marr · May 20, 2015 at 7:48 pm
Oh great! Thank you!
Samatha Harris · May 20, 2015 at 8:02 pm
So excited about this opportunity. I am praying luck will be on my side tonight!
Julie Christensen · May 20, 2015 at 9:00 pm
Brenda,
Thank you for taking the time to respond to all of our questions. I’m sure it took up a lot of your day. And thank you for the work you, Krista, Monica, and Elizabeth are putting into this terrific contest.
cassandra · May 20, 2015 at 10:23 pm
Hi, When I tried to enter I started with my fb account which has my maiden name Cassandra C… but then I also added my name which has my married name Cassandra N. Seeing the Cassandra C made me go WOO but I think it might be someone else. Do the winners get emails?
J. M. Goebel · May 20, 2015 at 11:05 pm
Cassandra, I’m in the same boat as you, I think. I had trouble with my initial entry, so I tried with my alternate email. My main entry, J. M. with my avatar pic, is on the list, but it looks like my alternate entry is also on the list: J. M. with no avatar pic.
Brenda Drake · May 21, 2015 at 12:22 am
I’ll check it out.
Brenda Drake · May 21, 2015 at 12:37 am
The J.M. listed isn’t you.
Brenda Drake · May 21, 2015 at 12:22 am
Winners do get emails. Can you let me know if you get two?
JHolmes, author · May 21, 2015 at 7:33 am
Brenda, I received my (single) email. Thanks for checking up on this! In case you don’t hear it enough, you’re doing a super job with this!
Debbie Causevic · May 21, 2015 at 11:40 am
So sorry but my keyboard locked up as I hit enter on the contest and it seems to have counted me as # 146 and 146. Can you delete #147 so someone doesn’t miss out? Sorry for the confusion Brenda!
Brenda Drake · May 21, 2015 at 12:57 pm
Fixed. Thank you!
