On My Being the Target of Harassment

First off, I never intended to write this post. When I took on the task of becoming Managing Director of Pitch Wars, I knew it would not be easy, especially coming directly after the fee situation. I’ve been involved in this community for four years. I know that people love Pitch Wars as much as I do and would not hesitate to contact us when they’re concerned. I expected the tweets, the emails, the DMs. Read more…

Today we’re super excited to reveal the cover for Pitch Wars mentor Kristin Wright’s LYING BENEATH THE OAKS!

Here’s some praise for the book …

Congratulations to Pitch Wars mentor and committee member Michael Mammay for the release of his debut novel, PLANETSIDE.

PLANETSIDE was Michael’s Pitch Wars novel when he was a mentee in 2015, mentored by Dan Koboldt. Dan and Michael were co-mentors in 2016 and 2017, and have returned as mentors for 2018 as well, mentoring in the adult category. Michael also serves on the committee as a mentor liaison (basically he keeps mentors informed, works with new mentors, and answers questions.)

PLANETSIDE is about an aging military officer named Carl Butler, who travels to a war-torn planet to investigate the disappearance of a politician’s son. When he arrives, evidence goes missing and witnesses disappear. People who are supposed to be his allies seem to be working against him. To find the truth, he has to go planetside, into the combat zone. (more…)
