You’ve scrambled your way through the Mentor’s bio posts, searching for secret words and letters, and looking for clues to help you unscramble the mystery quote. You’ve pulled at your hair, begged for extra hints on twitter and crossed everything crossable, hoping that your entry would be one of the lucky five chosen for an extra mentor application.
The quote was a line from a book that held special memories for both Brenda and me: AND TO THINK THAT I SAW IT ON MULBERRY STREET by Dr. Seuss. The line was: “And that is a story that no one can beat, When I say that I saw it on Mulberry Street.”
Most of you were able to find the correct mystery quote, and a couple of you even went above and beyond with your entries.
In addition to typing the appropriate quote in the body of her email, L.L. McKinney dug out a copy of the actual book and sent us a picture of the page where the mystery quote was found.
And Shawn Barnes had us giggling like crazy when he said that the quote was “By the original “doctor” who didn’t need a Tardis to transport us to magical places.” (Unfortunately, guys, extra grins and giggles didn’t earn you any extra entries in the contest.)
